You know, I thought things had gotten pretty crazy in the second episode of this totally killer book, but I was off. I was way off. What issue two offered was a little wild… issue three however, is absolutely nutso awesome!
This book is absolutely stacked with some of the most famous villains of both Batman’s world and the Teenage Ninja Turtles’ world, and it is amazing. There’s a war with vegetation that rocks, Shredder is now hanging with a major chunk of his gang (including personal favorites Baxter Stockman and Tiger Claw), and of course we get a new Batman villain or two to prepare for war with.
Oh yeah, there’s a rat in this issue, if that means much to you.
The portals are still open, bad guys are still pouring through, and though Batman and his posse are getting to know and trust the turtles more, there’s so much insanity going on it’s tough to appreciate any new friendships.
Manning and Sommariva are absolutely killing it with this book. It’s addictive. It’s hilarious. It’s good old fashioned throwback fun. And it’s about to introduce yet another victim from the mean streets of Gotham, and this guy is going to leave anyone in his path shaking in their boots!
