The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen
It’s crazy to know someone could butcher an Alan Moore story until it hardly felt recognizable, but it happened. Stephen Norrington’s film is all over the place, often feeling as though it has no idea what it wants to be. But honestly, it isn’t easy to see the likes of Dorian Gray, Dr. Jekyll (and Mr. Hyde, of course) and Mina Harker (to name only a few) on screen together and not have fun. This is really just a big supervillain flick with a spin. But it’s a ton of fun, and damn infectious.
